Ghost Shrimp??

Hey you all I finally finished with my mantis shrimp tank and finally got one of the guys into the tank. I purchased some ghost shrimp for him so I can feed him live food once a week. I was wondering that in the mean time, while the ghost shrimp are just waiting for their turn, what should I feed the little critters?? Anyone know??

Just feed some flake or pellet food. Or you could feed some brine shrimp.

they have a pellet food that is made with shrimp, I think its for bottom feeders( fresh water ) and they seem to really like it. just a small container of it will last a long time. Depending on how many you have(shrimp) I would only put a couple pellets in for them to eat a night............can you get a picture of your new mantis tank, I would like to see it....:jumping:

I actually fed mine Formula 2. They tore it up. The girl that I got them from said, she fed them that, so when her lion ate them, it got meat & veggies. I thought it was a pretty good idea.

Hey Tizzo what's Formula 2?? I just threw in some very small pieces of brine and they didn't touch it but I'm not very worried. Could I feed them a squirt of phytoplankton??

As for the phytoplankton... I have no idea. But formula 2 is an algea based food made for herbivores such as Tangs. It comes in flakes, or what I prefer is frozen. You can get it at your lfs.
