He looks a little grumpy this morning...... he's my newest addition a Choridactylus multibarbus.

There's not a whole lot of information of these guys. There's a section on them in Scott Michael's Reef Fishes Book and Frank Marini has kept several and has been directing me.
When I get my new camera I'll have to get video of them "walking" around.... it's the freakiest thing ever.

those creepy fingers are actually 3 unattached pectoral fin rays.
The Stingfish family uses them as locomotion, like little fingers to scurry across the bottom, they also use them to dig up worms and other creepy crwlies for food, and of course as Cranberries photos show to bury themselves in the dirt. They spend most of the day partially buried

I should probably also say he's in QT and he'll be enjoying sand in the near future. The substrate you see in the pic may be a little too coarse for him.

You dont want that fish! You need to send him to me!
He is beautiful! Congrats
LOL I like the red color, but it looks like a pimple exploded on him. It has a face only a mother could love.
Congrats, I see you have a taste for the unusual. I like him in your tank.

Everyone has different tastes thankfully... that's why I'm happy that clownfish is in YOUR
tank.
LOL I didn't like my regular old clown fish either, my Grandkids do.
I like the ghoul stingfish the more I read about him. I wasn't trying to be insulting...but what a face. He really does sound totally creepy cool.
I consider a taste for the unusual to be a complement.
My statement about YOUR tank, means only that I can't have one...I must resist the urge.
I like your fish.

I am only fooling around. I hear it all the time keeping the critters I do. And I had no idea you kept a clownfish... was just taking a guess and the odds were in my favour that you did...LOL.
I am planning a tank with swimming fish in them. I may have 12 tanks but I don't have much in the way of "swimming" fish.
