Giant Hermit Crab

I'm planning my 70 gallon tank and getting ready to add about 100 lbs of live rock and was wondering if a large hermit crab would cause any problems in my setup. I'm thinking about getting a Picasso Trigger, Flame Angel, Powder Blue Tang, brittle stars, 100ish mini blue leg hermits, eel of some sort and a few other things like soft corals. I saw one in our LFS and he was sooo cool. About 3 or 4 inches with huge red claws.

you would probably have to upgrade your tank in the near future. the crab should live for a while. just pay close attention to the trigger.

i got two giant hermits and my picasso doesn't bother them at all. All of the tiny ones and snails were served up for lunch

If it's a Caribian Giant Hermit (Petrochirus diogenes) it'll eventually get big enough to eat all your fish (they get over a foot in length and need a horse conch or queen conch shell eventually)...it'll also rearange all of your rockwork...I have one in a 90 gallon all by itself...
