after taking down my 36g bowfront, moving it onto its new stand, and setting it up again im freaking excited to have a fresh start.

what i have for my equipment is:
-aquaclear 50 filter
-aquaclear 50 powerhead
-100 watt heater
-130watt PCs
my tank has 40 lbs of LR and 40 lbs of LS. i have a sabae anemone, clownfish, and cleaner shrimp in my tank right now.
since i got my new stand i have a bunch of mini-projects going on:
-DIY 20 gallon (high) sump
-mounted canopy for new lighting
-netted lid to keep jumpers in
i will post new pics of my tank soon...

here are a bunch of pics from my tank after its move onto the new stand...
full tank shot

my clown, shrimp, and anemone

and here are my mini DIY projects and materials
my eshopps overflow box (800gph)

via aqua pump (~600 gph @ 4')

my DIY canopy for my MH (and future T5s + moonlights) ...still needs to be painted, sanded, and mounted with mounting legs

my 150watt MH i got for $70...and it came with a phoenix 14K bulb!!!! (i cleaned it up so it isnt as dirty as it looks in this pic)

my DIY 20 gallon (high) sump...with a small skimmer/heater chamber, fuge area chamber, baffles, and return pump chamber

i still have to start my netting lid to keep the future fish i plan to get from jumping. and i'll post more pics of my sump, canopy, plumbing, and MH as i finish all of these projects up.
i also have a red slime problem i need to fix that you can kinda see in the first pic. my clown also isn't eating like he used to so i have to go pick up live brine from the store ASAP. any ideas on removing the slime or feeding the starving clown???
anyways...once i get all of these projects done with im going to start stocking my tank and getting some good beginner corals to start my reef.

i wish there were! lol
hmmm...my canopy is painted but i still need to mount it and hook up the MH, the red slime problem is almost over...i hope, and my clown is finally eating again and swimming around more.

i'll post some pics later. later this week im gonna plumb my sump and make that netting lid once my canopy is done. then i will get more fish and a few beginner corals.

im finally starting to finish my projects. my sump is ready to be plumbed and i've started on that. and my canopy has all the materials to mount my new MH light by tomorrow

my dad went to the store and got some DAP silicon. it dosent say 100% but it says windows and doors...not kitchen and bath, which makes me believe that there is no mildew crap in it. it is going to be used on my canopy and a few small dots of it on sumps return pipe and overflow to attach netting...so snails dont break the siphon/go down the return. i think i will just go for it...
i'll see how it goes...then i'll post a bunch of new pics.

updates...finally!!!!
i finally got the first of three projects done on my tank. the canopy is done and the MH looks great on my tank. the 14K phoenix bulb is amazing!!!
my canopy painted..and the mounting legs:

and the canopy mounted above my tank...complete with an annoying tank brace shadow, yay!!!

and my clown + anemone under the new lights:

too bad i cant keep the new light plugged in until i get a fan or two in the canopy cause that thing gets hot

i also got an idea of what i want to stock my tank with:
FISH:
-my clown
-flame hawk
-midas blenny
-sixline wrasse
-pair of firefish
-pygmy angel
-chalk bass or a clown goby (opinions?)
its heavy on the bioload...but im not adding any fish until i get my 20 gallon sump setup to help with the bio load...i also found an ok deal on a ton of chaeto on cragislist that will help me have low, if any, nitrates hopefully.
CORALS:
im keeping a very wide variety of everything. i'll start with beginner corals and work my way up to SPS when i get 2 T5HO to supplement the MH for more intense lighting.
