How can you tell a Female clownfish from a Male clownfish?

In a mature pair, the female is always the bigger of the two and the male is smaller.

Yup that's the only way.
All clowns start life as juvies. When they mature the most dominant (biggest) will change to a female and the second biggest will become the male. Once a female, always a female. If she dies, the male will then change sexes and the next up becomes the male.

So if i get 2 small clowns then 1 will change to a female n the other will stay a male and they will mate?

Yes, if given the right conditions they may mate.
