Glass anemones (aiptasia)

i have a growing population of glass anemones in my reef tank. what is the best means of ridding them? copperband butterflies, shrimps, or chemicals? Help

the rock says...
there are so many fish and crabs and shrimp that eat aiptasia you should be able to keep it under control. no butterflies in a reef tank, better safe than sorry, and peppermints will eventually eat the aiptasia as will many other creatures you will keep in your tank

Thats funny, I was just about to post a question about the very same thing..Here's what I was told----mix 1 tablespoon Kalkwasser with 1/4 cup R/O water. mix well and let settle. Turn off all pumps in tank, NO water movement. Use a syringe (no needle)to very slowly put a tiny amount of solution into center, (make sure it is fully opened)they said they should die within a few minutes but to be careful not to put to much extra in your tank, and to leave the pumps off for another 25 minutes. My question is WHY?? What do they do?
