Glass & Arcylic Tank

Hey Gang,
Some of us hate arcylic because it scratches easily. Most people in marine aquarium hobby love glass tank. What if we use both material to build a tank. Glass for display and arcylic for the bottom and sides. Is that possible? I know glueing it together might be tought. What if we have a special glue that will hold glass* arcylic together. What do you think?

just wondering if its possible or not. Most people hate the scratches of arcylic. Arcylic allow drilling and modification much easier and safer than glass.
