Does anyone know a place online that gives prices for All-Glass tanks? I havent been able to find anything except local stores, but maybe thats how the system works. I started a 55 gal in december and already have the itch to upgrade. I want something in the 100 to 200 gal range. I heard bowfront makes the price skyrocket. Man i cant wait for that tax refund!!!

i owuld not get an all glass aquarium. you do get what you pay for. Having a drilled tank is mone of the most wonderful things ever!! you really should think about it.
other thought. I am gettting a 190, you may want to look at everything you are going to have to buy to make the tank work before you have your heart set on a big tank. they are VERY expensive, especially after you get above the 120 line. i am having to spen about 400-500 on just my pumps. i am custom building my stand and hood so i will save the 600-800 there but . . . . you will not be able to find a 150 gall for less that 350. and that is the non drilled all glass tank. tempered glass is cool but once it is in it's plate form it is done.
my 190 is an acrilic (sp) 5 foot. since i am good friend with a local LFS guy he just put me into contact with the manufacturer, and i am going to go pick it up by my self. it will still cost around 650.
so if you still want ot do it punk rock and by all means. just remember that things get REALLY EXPENSIVE when you get that big.

Not many mail order shops are going to ship glass tanks due to high shipping cost. They would most likely go by freight which will cost a lot.Bigalsonline.com does have tanks for sale but perhaps for their retail store only.

SaltyJay I see you live in MD. You really should check out www.*************.com they are in Lancaster, PA which may be worth the ride for you. they dont have the glass tanks listed online but you can call them they carry a big selection. thats where I bought my Oceanic and it was $200 cheaper then anyone around me believe it or not.

I noticed the same thing, online stores don't sell all-glass. I just bought a 90 gal all-glass, drilled at the LFS. I paid about $330 with plumbing. This thing is H-E-A-V-Y..... I mean H-E-A-V-Y. That's probably why they dont sell online.
Good Luck.

Thanks all for the advice. I have actually been to ************* in Lancaster. Might end up getting my tank there if the LFS cant beat the price. Once i do decide to upgrade i plan on making a stand myself. Lets just say that i've learned a ton to save money while building my 55gal. One thing i am glad i did get was the built in overflows. I am happy my w/ All-Glass, thats why i was asking about their bigger models (stick with what works!!). A new tank is a good six months down the road , anyway gotta start planning sometime you know. Since i'm new to SW i want to see how i do with the 55gal before laying down serious dough(even more money than i already have spent) on a big guy.

Consider spending the extra dough on an Oceanic. The quality is much higher. You can compare both at That Fish Place if you did not already.
