Glass top????

I know this is an old topic but if I remove the front panels of my glass top cause any damage to my PC and NO lights.They are attached to my canopy about 6" above the water.The back of the canopy is open so I only want to remove the front panels so that my fish will not fly out.I live in Arizona and I think it would help with the temp. I just dont know if the salt creep will harm the lights or the wood on the canopy....Thanks in advance!

I also have my pc's mounted to the underside of my canopy and have replaced the glass top last spring with a piece of lighting egg crate from home depot. haven't had any trouble with salt creep harming the wood canopy or the lights I do have to clean the lights off on maintance day with a damp cloth to keep any salt from building up on them.

I am doing the same thing as Rob. I put eggcrate on the top with 6" open in the front for feeding, etc. Just make sure you put the thin side of the squares pointing up at your lights so it wont block them out.
