Anyone every cut in their own bulkhead fittings? Do you use a Dremel with a diamond bit?
Or..am I better off hiring it or bringing it to a hardware store?
TIA :notsure:

I would have it professionaly drilled.
IMO its not worth "expierimenting" with. If the tank isnt worth all that much to you then sure...try it...

Could a common hardware store do this? Its just on my new sump/refug that is not running yet. It would be easy for me to transport it. Or a glass shop?

I haven't drilled mine because I'm too chicken to risk it. I have read on here that the diamond bit is the way to go. Good luck!

I'm not positive on the quality of my sump/fuge. I think that I am going to take it to a glass shop. But, I'm prolly gonna buy the Dremel and diamond bit, anyway. I don't have a reason yet. But, I work well under pressure justifying this stuff to my wife.

I was going to drill mine until i saw the sticker on the bottom of the glass that said. DO NOT DRILL. Tempered glass. Make sure yours can be drilled before doing it. Call the manufacturer or whatever.

Thanks, I have no documentaition on my fuge tank. It is a few years old. I do not think that it is tempered. I'm going to take it to a pro, anyway. And still buy the Dremel.
