Can i use any kind of superglue to glue two rocks together? How long can a rock with mushrooms stay out of the water?

yup. pretty much all superglues i have seem. make sure it is gel, otherwise, it wont hold too well. zap works great. as for mushrooms, they can stay out for a little while because of the slime coating they will produce, but i wouldnt leave them out for too long. superglue gel will also work and hold underwater too.

so it's okay to glue something underwater in your tank even if their are fish etc. in it?

yeah. zap works. that is what i use. im about positive all others will work also. i know people use superglues underwater.
if you are worried about it, then just take the rock out. it takes maybe 15 seconds to superglue it.

I just buy my super glue at the dollar store, cheap there!!! I use a lot of them...I just recently glued my Pink Tip Frogspawn to a piece of rock. I dry the rock and dry the bottom of the frag and put a bunch of superglue onto the rock where it's going to be placed, then place it on the glue, then glue more around the edges, then I just give it a light blow to dry the glue and make sure the frag is stable, then I placed it right into my tank. The whole process took like 5 minutes cause I got glue all over my hands and was sticking to everything, didn't do that last time, but this time it took longer thanks to my partner who left the tip off the superglue when it was poked and it started leaking out everywhere....No more help from anyone!!! Gonna poke it first before I do anything next time. At least the frogspawn is looking great!!!! :happyfish

I just glued 50 pounds together to make 4 nice "crab shacks" for my tank. I just wanna make sure we are talking about regular super glue gel, right?..... There is a smell and its been 24 hours..... they turned out better then I would have thought but I'm scared to put them in the tank.... should I rinse them first or soak them.... and how do you get super glue to stick under water?.... did I read that right?.... :help:

I just used some while under water and it seems to work easily. Just be sure you hold the 2 pieces still.
