Gluing shrooms to rock

Tonight I will glue 2 shrooms to a rock using super glue gel. How long do I wait after putting the glue on the rock to put the shroom in the glue? How long does it need out of water to set up?
Thanx!

Make sure you dry the rock good with a paper towel. Then place a drop of gel on the rock where you want the mushroom. Take the mushroom and dab the bottom of it on the paper towel to dry and then place it on the drop of gel. Hold it there lightly for about 10 seconds. You can check to see if the gel has taken hold, if so, place the rock back into tank. It takes less than a minute to complete the whole process.

Can you glue shroom? I tried it a few times and they just slime their way out. I ended up using netting and wrap them agaist a rock....

They slimed up because you had them out of the water too long. That is also the reason that I suggested to dab the shroom on paper towel before placing on gel.

easier to use windo screen and a rubberband. take mushroom place screen over mushroom and rock take rubberband and put over screen and rock within a few days you can take screen off.

That's an awesome idea. I wondered how you guys got your shrooms to stay put. Is there a special kind of glue that you need to use????

Well I did it. I glued the two shrooms to two different rocks. I just used the crazy glue gel. It worked easy. Used a paper towel to pat dry the rock blotted the shroom on the towel and stuck them together. Unfortunately the first one that I did i got some glue on top of the shroom when I was trying to reposition it. We will see how it fares. I'll tell ya this is a easy thing to do.
Next I'm gonna frag my leather.

Just put the shroom in a shallow dish on top of some rubble. Put netting over the dish and the shrooms will attach within a week usually. Glueing shrooms generally does not go well.

Nothing any easier or quicker and less unsightly than using a pin or needle to pin the shroom or frag in place. Glue may or may not work all the time, and I hate having to dissassemble my rock work to find a missing cheap shroom or high priced ric, that took leave of abscense because it got loose of the super glue. I hate looking at netting and such in a tank even if its only in there for a few days, where a needle or pin is pretty well invisible and works and puts it and keeps it right where you want it.

You stick a pin right through the shroom? Crucified?

I glues 2 shrooms a few days ago. One real small hairy shroom about 1/2 inch and one red shroom almost 2" when uncurled. The hairy shroom held nicely. The red shroom is escaping. Its only held on be a little bit. I moved the rock frag to a cup so that I wont loose it in the rock. I will need to get some more glue today.
