thanks for the replies there great. What about a Catalina Goby?? what do you guys and girls think? it's that or the yellow goby HHHHmmmm..................
Go with a clown goby, watchman{there are several types},there are many shrimp gobies that are nice.Catalina gobies will not survive in most home aquariums. They are a cold water species, and most of our tanks are just kept too warm for them.Beautiful fish though.
Catalina gobies are cool water fish. They live off of Catalina Island, CA. On websites they list that Catalina gobies can survive in tanks around 78 - 80 degrees, but their lifespan is short (somtimes weeks). They prefer water temps in the mid to low 70's.
Hey MarksMagic -
How do you like your watchman goby? I'm interested in getting one but I'd like to know more about their personality and behavior from someone who's actually owned one. How old was he when he started to develope his spots (I've heard they grow in as they age)?
Thanks,
Sam
Another vote for Yellow Watchman. He's my favorite fish always out and always doing something. He's paired with a tiger pistol shrimp. I get hours of entertainment watching those two.
A higher cost alternative would be a white ray shrimp goby... here's mine... I have five other gobies (including the yellow watchman which is a great choice) and each one has a different entertaining personality...
My vote is for a yellow watchman, i got one and the yellow disappeared after about a year turns out he's a tiger watchman golby but a great fish :jumping:
