each time my shrimp have molted, it's been very very clear. this guy was very red. Ten minutes ago he was still working on it and now I can't find my other shrimp either. What is going on?

okay, I found the other shrimp. It took him almost 30 minutes to eat the whole thing. is it normal that he ate the shrimp?

bloodworms are freshwater fish food.
your sand sifter is probably going hungry from not having anything to sift out of the sand. saw the shrimp and said

Holy crapoli, and I was just about to get a dimond goby to sift some sand. I guess if I don't mind my peppermint shrimp getting wacked. Maybe if I find a small one that can't eat my shrimp.
Will a dimond goby get along with a yellow watchman? I have one of them and my tank is peaceful and the last thing I want is a fight.

depends on the goby unfortunately. I had (until it died yesterday) a pink and blue spotted shrimp goby, and it was 90% peaceful. Bill109 had one, and it ate a firefish...
Most books do though say they (gobies) don't like having other bottom dwellers around.

When labels say "Tropical fish" it usually means freshwater. You want something that is labeled for "Marine Fish"
Try getting some Mysis shrimp. Your goby will eat em up!

Ok add some cheato to your refugium and pods will start to populate your tank (cheato is a breeding ground for pods). Pods is short for copepods.

my p/b ate more pods than anything, and is probably the reasoni don't have much in my tank. if you buy anything here, its always nice to get the bottle of pods they sell just to give a little extra to the gene pool

Thats a good idea. Pick up a bottle of pods somewhere and add it right to your fuge. Your tank should be populated in no time after that.
