goby not eating

my pink bar goby i got for my dad is not eating i have seen it biting water may be he is eating the mysid in my overflow though i intended to feed it to my seahorse oh well i have 2 other overflows with mysid and a sump filled with mysid

for about 3 weeks he eats little live mysid shrimps in the overflow

It doesn't sound like your goby eats anything but live food, you need to get him on frozen mysis. Mix it in with the live so he can relate it to being food.

i cant mix it cause the mysid lives in my overflow they breed and do there things in there i probably didnt say it clearly enough that the shrimps live in the overflow hey flower i didnt know u lived in Illinois WHERE do u live

Thaw out some frozen mysis, and while the fish is feeding use a turkey baster and let a few flow to ward him..he might grab a bite and realize it's food. I am no expert on teaching fish to eat frozen, maybe start a thread and ask for help from those with more knowledge on getting fish to learn how to eat frozen from live food.
As long as it's eating all is well, the danger is if it depletes the live food it will starve.
