Goby/Pistol Shrimp Pairing

How can I tell if a goby and a pistol shrimp will pair? Are there specific gobys that go with specific shrimp? Or is it random whether they pair or not? I saw the shrimpgoby's listed on this site, are those the only gobys that will bond with shrimp?

Not all gobies will pair with a Pistol Shrimp. The Shrimp Gobies listed on this site all will. There is not a 100% chance that any 2 animals will pair, but it is very likely.

So I can buy any shrimpgoby and any pistol shrimp and they will have a chance to pair? Its not like....only one specific species likes another specific species? Like maybe...the randalli fish only pairing with the randalli shrimp?
Sorry for the very specific questions, I want to add one last fish to my tank and am trying to decide what kind.

Correct, but only shrimp of the genus Alpheid will pair with a goby, and these are the most common sold in the hobby, so don't worry about that.
Your fish choice depends on which goby you like.
