goby question, please help

i know that some gobies are great sand sifters. my question is this...will the sifting gobies take all the life out of the live sand? is it best to have a goby for sifting if i have a DSB? if not, what kind of animal would take care of this sand stirring job. thanks for the help

gobby sifters are nice but they sift the sand for critters to eat. I found the the sand star are a nice addition th a deep sand bed.
