Going Coral Only

Well i had a scary moment this week when i thought we were going to have to move out of our place really really quickly and came to the realization that i really don't want to have to move two 75 gallon tanks. Needless to say, we're not moving quickly but I'm going to downsize my tanks until we get a house so we have a more permanent dwelling. I would like to get rid of all my fish and most of my corals. But i would like to maintain a frag tank so i can still grow and collect corals i like. Tank would be mixed zoos, SPS, and rics/yuma and any other cool colored mushrooms. I'm going to put a piece of eggcrate on an angle from back to front keep the SPS up top zoos on the bottom half and rics/shrooms on the bottom off to the sides with alot of rubble so it's easy to take stuff out of the tank. I have a few questions. I've only kept corals in a tank that has fish so if i keep corals only will i 1. need any live rock or sand, and 2. need any filtration (ofcourse i'll have power heads) and 3. will keeping up with calcium and alk supplements and water changes be enough to keep stuff growing.
