Going for a different haircut today.

Summer is almost here, so I'm going into town and seeing the barber. Been a couple months and I am in need of a hair cut, I think my best option is going for a flat top, both for comfort and suprise factor for my wife. Doing the whole deal, with a straight razor shave too.
Anybody else here rocking a flat top hair cut? Cool? Not cool anymore? Socially acceptable even?
Regardless there is nothing better than a barber cut shave and I am looking forward to it.

I did the buzzcut thing back in the 90's for a few years. Last real haircut I had was July 4th, 2000 while I was in the Hospital. Just trims since then. Look like a long hair freaky people now.

Okay, the deed is done and I left a lot of hair on the barbers floor, it looks pretty good and interestingly my barber mentioned that I do have the right head shape to pull off a flat-top. LOL
The shave was good too and is closer than I can ever do at home, about the only negative is I got the full-on splash of stinking tonic on the back of my neck and the shave cream also has that funky barber shop smell so I am sure everyone at the store could smell me 10 feet away.
Not sure if I will stick with a flat-top, but I will see how it goes.

straights are the way to go... Been doing that for a couple of years now. You can do it at home...
