Going to go hyposaline tomorrow

I thought I would take the LR and shrimp, crabs , snails, conch, out and put in a tub, and was wondering, what water do I use in the tub? Water that is premixed with salt made with water from the Ro or water from the DT?
2nd do I take the star fish out too? Should I put sand in there?
Do I need to put a filter on it? Or just a powerhead and heater?

I don't know how much rock you are talking about, but yes use at least 2 powerheads. One situated at the top of the tub, the other at the bottom. And also use a heater. You don't need filters. Use a rectangle shaped tub the kind you get at a home depot. The idea is to spread the rock out over the tub, rather than just making one big pile of rock. The tub doesn't need sand.
Since you will be doing hyposalinity, you want to remove water from you display tank over to your temporary live rock/invert tub. Remove enough water to cover your live rock with water with at least 1" of extra water from the top of the rock.
Here is the hyposalinity process:

You should use a refractometer for this process.

I am never doing this again, NEVER, I am going today and get a QT tank.
Last night I thought my empe angle was going to die, I took him out and put in Do water for a couple minutes and I see that there is some white specks , but he was covered with them and half laying on his side last night before I dipped him, but this morning he is swimming but not eating.
Now one of the clowns is hanging out at the bottom and doing alot of open mouth breathing and he does not want to eat. I have 2 of them and they was both the first to eat.
I don't see any specks on the clown.
Also I have the rocks in a tub that is 20 gallons and I have a few rocks on each other, do I need to move them to a tub that has them all on the bottom and not stacked at all?
I have a heater and one power head in there. The srimp and star fish took good. I have a bigger tub, but how am I going to get it heated up, and the saline right with everything in the 20 gallon tub. I sure don't want to loose my LR, there is 50 lbs in there.

The idea of having the rocks in a single layer is so that the power head(s) will be able to blow around all of them. You may want to pick up a second one to place on the opposite side of the tub. You will not lose your rock, but you could get some dead spots. What do you mean about the larger tub?

Well I moved the rock to a large rectangle tub, so that they are a single layer, I only have one power head in there, but I guess I could take the 2nd one out of the DT since the emper and one clown died today.
Now I have the tang, that has ick all over it, the 2nd clown looks to be not infected, but neither one ate today. Thats it for the fish, 2 left. I am going to get a QT tank going this week end, so I guess put a couple raw shrimp unh? Maybe a rock? It is a 12 gallon with the filter with a bio wheel and light all built into the hood. The filter says a 150 GPH so that should be stong enough. I didn't get any bigger QT, I can't have big fish in a 55 Gallon.
I feel so bad about the fish, Never again,, do you think the tang will make it? She is in the hypo saline. Temp 79.6 PH 8.2 no nitrates , no amonia
Both are swimming , just not eating.

They are already in hypo? I thought you were just setting up the qt this weekend. Ich takes about a week to fall off of the fish completely. If they look bad then you may want to give them a fresh water dip. Get a bucket of RO. Match the ph and the temp to whatever the fish are in. Dip the fish for three to five minutes. You must watch the fish the entire time. If the fish starts to stress out then he must be removed from the bucket. It is normal for them to lay on their side or look disoriented at first. The fish should be swimming normally within a minute though. Let us know where your fish are and please be clear about the qt and what is going on.

I bought a QT tank, will set it up this weekend but the fish are in the DT with all the other stuff in the tupper ware, only fake stuff in the DT along with my live sand,, the water is 1.009 and the PH 8.2 temp 79
The emper died and one clown died, now there is the yellow tang and she has it and as well the clown, clown is eating the tang is not, no matter what I feed she just looks at it, I suppose if they go, I could bring my rock back and go fishless for 6 weeks, by then the QT would be good, I would hope. and maybe start over, I have way to much money in all the equipment to quit, plus I love the fish.
When do you think they would start to pull out of this,, when does the ick leave thier body? How many days in the low saline?

It usually takes about a week for the parasites to all drop off of the fish. Try adding some fresh garlic to their food.
