I have (2) 130 gallon each saltwater tanks which I've had for about 4 years. One is strictly fish and the other is a mixture of live coral & fish. About a year ago we developed a thick, stringy golden brown algae that we cannot get rid of. We tried everything and even changed out all the live rock and sand but it keeps coming back. The guy who services my tanks says he has no idea what the problem is. He even suggested I change the halide lights to new ones (which I did) but to no avail. This stuff is even growing on my live coral! Please, if there is anyone out there that has any suggestions, I need you help!
