Gone for the weekend... can't take the fish

I am about to jump into Marine aquariums with both feet. I will however need to travel for short trips on occasion (weekends). Is there a device that can feed the fish on a timer ?? How does that work? Anyone done something DIY?

Most fish should be fine for a few days without being fed. I do it all the time. I've not had good experiences with auto feeders. My fish will eat flakes, but my feeder dumps WAY too much food. Better off with none. I usually leave an algae sheet in a clip.

As stated before most fish will do fine for a couple of days and if you're not comfortable with that you could teach someone to come in and feed while you're gone.

Does anyone on this list use a automatic feeder regularly? I know that it's not the best, but has anyone had good results?
