Gone...

Today I came home to my tank...

Everything has died except for 4 clowns, 4 chromis, and 1 peppermint shrimp...

I can find most bodies except for the sailfin's, and the wrasse's...

Now I am left with a hard decission. Am I going to put everything back together or take the tank down and get off of the hobby for now? I have lost $3000 of fish and about $500 in inverts/coral.
RIP little buddies...

I have no idea... :notsure:
I came home to a milky white tank, thats all...

I have been adding coral for the past two days but slowly a piece at time, nothing that would have make this happen...

By the way every coral is alive and well except a couple and the RBTA is fine...

But every thing else is gone...

I can only assume that you kept adding new fish when you had fish die to lose $3000 in livestock and if not, you either have a huge tank or a really over crowded tank. Would like to hear more about you system…have had my tank up for 5+ years and have only lost 1 fish.

I am sorry for your loss. That is one of my worse nightmares
What size tank did you have? What all did you have in it?

It was a 120gal...
It wasn't crowded just really rare fish...
Things like Onyx Percula, and a Solomons Island Flame Wrasse...
Here is my little buddy I have had since the tank was set up...

And a wrasse that was fun to watch chase all the chromis around and that is not replace able...

I addded two fish in the last 6 monthes which was a scooter blenny and a midas blenny...

What about temperature, or stray voltage, maybe something released from one fish dying did in the rest? did ya have a cowfish? Sorry for your loss, but don't give up. Just put it back together slowly, a fish, or coral every 3 months or so.

Your water parameters are fine. Very strange. Did you say that the water is kind of cloudy?

So sorry for your loss. That's really depressing. Hopefully you will find out what happened and can try again. I know there's a lot of expense involved in this hobby but keep going.

And definately don't add anymore livestock till you pinpoint the problem. Could a foreign substance have entered the tank? There are way too many things that a test kit won't tell you. And you also have survivors in there, don't give up, you owe it to them to figure this out.

Cant say this is why but maybe the anemone released gametes ( eggs or sperm ) results would be simular IMO. Did you have a sea cuke maybe ??
