I just got a goni from the LFS i have it with a good flow and excellen MH lighting it's on the upper third of the 125 reef. my question is why are these corals ao difficult to keep for long periods of time. My friend has his for 2.5 years, but his is a goni-green. both are goiniopora sp...anyways any info on having this coral thrive or giving it the best chance of survivsl would be so helpful TY.

its hard bc the survival rate is low. most people hv their geniopora died after 6 months. most people still dont know the care requirement for this coral. i had one when i 1st started this hobby. it lasted 3 months.
