goniopora question

good morning campers!
I was thinking about purchasing some of these for my tank. But I was curious about a few things.
I have 2 peppermints, will they pick on this coral? I have heard that they will pick at star polyps.
And for the most part will anything else pick on it, like any pygmy angels, or other inverts??
Anyone with experience with these, please chime in

My advise would be to steer clear of them, they generally will not fair well long term in a captured environment most die in a few months.

had mine right at 3 months now and to answer your question no peppermint leave them alone. Mine has doubled in size since I bought and put out new tentacles. The only thing I am doing to make it happy is supplementing mag iodine and calcium and feeding with Zooplex. My system has been up and running for about 6 months now. I know I have been very lucky with it but they are really cool

I got a bottle of kent zooplex and follow the directions. I like the kent products pretty much all I use. Basically its like 2 capfuls every other day.

3 months is not long at all, most usaully live anywhere from 6-18 months in the home aquarium. You can't tell when there gonna die usaully because they go from looking awesome one day and then they just die off. Gonipora are usually found in nutrient rich lagoons so Imo thats why they don't do well long term in our aquaroums because we try to keep nutrients in our tank at undetectable levels.:D
