i have 2 in my tank a purple/red one and a green one the green one is about 7 inches across when it opens fully
do they have mood swings, like some days they are open some days they are not.
and my purple has been closed up for a couple weeks, then i found out that my dottyback was messing with it so i got rid of the dottyback, its starting to open up a bit.
Does anyone have any expierence of info they can tell me about them
it would be appreciared.
p.s both are in my avatar

I have a pink/red one. It is very aggressive! I have to keep it in an area by itself or it will try and sting everything around it. You have to spot feed every few days. They like moderate lighting and medium flow. I keep mine up top in a good flow area and it is happy as crap. It has new babies popping up. I hear they are very hard to keep and the red ones are the easiest. I hear that some clownfish will try to host it as well but it will kill the coral.

Brine is too big. You smaller particles. I feed my homemade fish food and grind it up. I also use phytoplex and cyclopeeze.

ok i just bought enriched phytoplankton and i put it it there and turned my filters and powerheads off(thats what my lfs told me to do is that correct) so i used a turkey baser and squirted the phytoplankton on them but idk if they ate or not how can you tell?

You did good. They should be fine. It is hard to tell if they ate. It is easier to tell with zoo's because they close up.

The people at me lfs call them rental corals, because within one year max 95% die out.
You can also use rotifers with out having to turn any of your equipment off. At least thats what they tell me.

I hear that about most of them but I also hear that the pink/red do ok in a home aquarium under the right conditions.
