It was FREE??? Man, he can't even charge anymore? I used to get calls about going to a dinner that was $500 a plate

I believe that was for campaign funds though. No reason to raise funds anymore. I am still surprised that it is free.

Very cool.
If you get the chance, be sure to thank him for the past 7 years we've been safe from terror attacks on our homeland.

Its an great experience, I've seen him twice. First time was a month after he first became President he came and talked to teh WV Guard and the next was a few weeks after my husband left for Iraq. He came here for a town hall meeting and our unit family members got to set on stage with him.

Make sure you look to see that the Secret Service allows on the property. For Obama this past fall before the election, you were not allowed to bring in cameras that had a detachable zoom lens. Basically SLRs and 35mm cameras. They want you to only have point and shoot digital cameras or disposable cameras.

I had the chance to have dinner with the Bushes, For a whole lot more money than I had already donated to him
I hope my "are you _____________ Crazy sufficed as a "No thank you".

When Jerry Brown was governor of California I got to meet him. Cool experience but man he is a little feller. Funny how we tend to get the perception of these people in power being bigger than life.
Have fun.

Oh, come on....I was kidding. I would love to meet him! Of course it might lead to 3 days of debate on ideology, but it would be cool!

What is so great about meeting that dude, regardless if he was the president I don't see what would be so exciting, I wouldn't put myself through listening to him talk.

LOL, how many people are going to watch the "messiah" get inaugurated in a few days?
Some of us, especially in Texas (espeeciallly in West Texas), respect the man and appreciate what he did for our Nation.
