I am alway into providing my reef tank with the best preventives I can buy. I always like to try to stay one step ahead of the tanks system. Is ther a good alge preventer that I can run in my sump. I run UV now and will always. Any sugestions.
every one of my reef keeping buds run UV. It kills some of the plankton but not all the plankton. The UV I run is the turbo twist and I run the rater through there at a nice slow pace.

Why do you run UV in a reef? It can easily kill the plankton and beneficial bacteria that the coral require to grow fast and be healthy.
And your skimmer takes out plankton...would you not run one?
