Since it warmed up here we have these tiny ants that we find inside once a while. they are very common around houses in my area. any good ways to get rid of them with all the junk they sell out there? we have never once found them anywhere near our food like snack boxes or anything like that.

Sounds like sugar ants or at least that's what I've always heard them called. Funny how fast they can show up if you drop something on the floor. I've never had them come in unless something was on the floor. Not sure how to keep them out though.

For me it was Orkin. My floors and counters were immaculate! I used all the stuff they sell at the home improvement stores, nothing worked. My mom swears they are after water sources, but I don't know. Anyway, a visit from the orkin guy, or any other bug remover person, worked wonders!! Never another ant.
Maybe you can call around and see if any will do a one time visit type thing.

Any yard insect killer will do the job outside but you will need to spray inside also cause if they are in the house they probly are in the walls also.I pefer Ortho or dursban

AAmdro for outside and Terro for inside. It is a bait that they will take to the queen. been using it for a few years now and never had it fail. Just have to place the inside stuff in kitchen and bathrooms. They are looking for water and piping gives them great access.

Ortho Home Defense, you can spray it inside and outside your house and it kills like every kind of bug there is. We used it for fire ants, worked wonders.

For home sweet eating ants.. get this product at ANY hardware store called TERRA, it is a clear liquid.. you put it on a little tab where ants congregate. They taste it and love it. Nest thing you know you will see 1 million ants feeding, then they will take this POISON back to the nest and Kill the whole nest. VERY effective for me..

Okay cool thanks everyone. like i said we have never seen any ants near our food/kitchen cabinets. well we have had plenty of rain here so don't think its water source. they are tiny and brown colored and you found them anywhere outside. like in landscape, gardens, sidewalks.

You can't put an anteater in your backyard! You need at least a .25acre yard for an ant eater!
Couldn't resist!

If you want something organic and non harmful, try setting a partially filled open jar of honey near where you commonly see them. Ants follow a scent trail laid down by the first ant to successfully find what they are looking for, so one after another they crawl into the jar and get stuck. Once the colony is all stuck in the honey, no more ants. Put the lid on and throw the jar away.
