good camera to use?

My little Kodak digital camera sucks to put it nicely. I see great macro shot all the time and was wodering what camera does everybody recommend. I want a camera that is easy to use, takes good clear shots, ability for macro, and is not thousands of dollars. anybody?

where did you get it and how much

I know rye recommends the cannon g3 power shot, I personally have a nikon cool pix 5700 and you cant get it for right at about a thousand. Im not sure about the cannon, someone here just recently bought one Im sure they would be more help.

I have a cannon G3 and love it. Very nice camera.

I love the G3 also, but haven't used any other good cameras to compare it with....very easy to use even though it has tons of features.
