Good crab or bad crab?

Ive spent the last couple of days on the net trying to ID this guy and havent been able to. Should I be making a bottle trap? I've only observed him picking at the algae on some of the rocks so far, but he's only wee now(bout the size of a nickel).

Anyone recognize this little guy?

looks kind of like a Porcelain Crab, but i cant really tell from the pic. Im sure somewhere here will give you a correct id of the crab

not a porc crab. Not sure on the exact species but if it were in my tank, I would leave it(unless you have a fuge) until I caught it doing something wrong. Many will probably disagree with me.

I will go out on a limb and say its a xanthid sp.

look closely at the claw tips. Pointed = bad, rounded =more desired.

The claws look alot like the claws on my zebra hermits.

the crabs can get in your tank as a hitchiker when you set up the tank

I would also say Pompom.

noticed one that looked similar 2 yours in my tank last week, he hitched in on some tonga branch rock i bought, havent had any problems w/ him rairly do i se him, a good hider
