Good deal/choice or no?

So I have found a 125 gal acrylic tank with 2 250w PFO lights (is this a MH?) a oak stand and canopy, also will throw in a 4 bulb T5 set up. He is asking 500 for it but I am doing a trade for it not paying that.. So I what I want to know mainly is would this be a good reef tank or no since it is not glass? I have a 135 glass but it is a FOWLR aggressive set up so I cant do reef in there. I know acrylic scratches easily but if I am careful that should not matter.. SO what do you guys think? Good or No? Also tank is drilled.

sound like a good setup. acrylic is much lighter than glass and can hv many different shapes. the 250w mh, i'd chng out the bulbs if its old. the t5 can last 8-12 months.

Well he only has 1 so I would have to get a new one.. I was thinking of running the t5's and the MH is that a good set up and enough light? I was thinking of 14 or 20k bulbs. Is a PFO light a MH? Never heard of a PFO.

glass scratches just as ezz
got some coral in my magflote and it scrached my glass didnt even know it.
yes pfo does make HM balasts.
enought light depends on what you are growing what the size of the tank "dem" how deep is it?
500.00 is a pretty good price what are you getting with the tank and stand a finished hood?
then yes it is worth it.
you are trading then that is even better you get something new and get rid of something everyone happy

Well I am looking to have all kinds of stuff in there.. Not sure as of yet, but it is a std 125 I think.. 72x18x21? With 2 20k MH a 4 bulb (not sure on bulbs yet) T5 would be good amount of light? I mean I have 2 4' 18k T5 bulbs on my 135 72x18x24 right now and I know that is not enough light for a reef but works for a FOWLR i think... Right? No?
