Good halide bulb brand

Hello -
I have some pretty outrageous hair algae growth that keeps persisting despite running carbon, GFO, chaeto, water changes, RO/DI water, and reduced lighting cycles. It is time to get some new halides to see if this will help. The last halides I bought were off of ---- for $40.00 for 2x175w 14,000K halides. I know these are cheap bulbs obviously,
here is the description:
*Brand New in the Box*
*High Quality & Long Life*
*E39 Mogul Base*
*T-bulb shape*
*Universal Burn Position*
*Single-ended Metal Halide bulb*
*Distinct Blue Tint Full spectrum light*
*Blue ocean depths effect*
High-Intensity Purified Super Daylight
Replacement bulbs for traditional probe-start metal halide ballasts with an
ANSI code of M57, M58, & M59 and Mogul-Base Socket Fixtures.
SAME COLOR QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE AS
CoralVue / Hamilton / XM / ReefLux / USHIO Brands
Is there much of a difference between these and more expensive bulbs, what is the difference? Thanks.

I bought these last time and they are still working well after 7 months. I just think the spectrum might have changed on them, promoting algae growth.
Any recommendations?

I don't run halides, but my buddy's run Pheonix bulbs (at least last I knew). They need to be changed out once a year.

I used to use XMs, but they have fallen into disfavor with me. I now run Radiums and am VERY happy with them.
Beware that Radiums are pulse start so your lighting system has to support them.
