Good Invert Sand Sifter?

Probably much like you, I like things that play a role in the tank. Of course I want pretty things to look at, but nothing beats something that does a job to keep me from doing a job.
Here's my live critter list in my 46g:
Royal Psuedo (1)
Brittle star (1)
Scarlet hermits (10)
Turbo snails (15) & Mexican turbo (1)
Coral Banded shrimp (1)
Sand Sifting Cucumbers (2)
Queen Conch (1)
Just Ordered
Emerald crabs (3)
Halloween hermits (2)
Cinnamon Clown (1)
Orange Linckia (1)
Lawnmower Blenny (1)
Porcelaine crab (1)
Is there anything that you recommend to sift the sand more? I'm probably thinking invert. I know some Gobies do, but they also jump and I'm topless. I've lost two in the past because of this.
Any suggestions?

Nassarius snails are pretty good sand stirrers, especially when you can find the lareger ones!

Sand Sifting Starfish...
It will more than likely eventually starve, but it will do a good job while it has enough to eat (wow that sounds awful
)

Nassarius snails are the best choice out there. They hide during the day and stay in the sand. There fun to watch with there trunk in the air.
Sand Sifting Starfish are a terrible choice for all but the largest of tanks. They will eat the good stuff in the sand to extension and then they will die over several months. Please do not support the trade in these. Its just crewel to starve anything to death. I am no bleeding hear liberal but man thats crewel.
But if you want the best sifter there is get the Golden Headed Sleeper Goby thats all they do all day long. They grab a mouth full of sand take it to the top of the tank and let it go. Of couarse its all over the corals. So be prepared for daily sand maintenance. Diamond Goby and Shrimpgoby - Orange Spotted are also good at this. Yes these guys will jump if spooked.
I love the golden head goby but what a mess they make.

Fancy? You never see them. Who cares. Heck you can even get the ones that noone will dance with at the ball.

Yeah, nassarius snails are awesome sifters. They go about an inch or so down under the sand, and move around a lot.
