Good one - How to add more Damsels?

Ok, I've seen posts recently for adding Damsels, loving Damsels.....but here's a new one.
I just recently added 1 and then 3 new Damsels to a 240g tank and one would think that 1 or 2 new Damsels would blend and not take too much heat. But, they seem to find them where ever they hide. So how does one add an additional Damsel to a tank with already existing Damsels without them getting torn to shreads?

I wouldn't think it'd be possible.
You're best bet is to decide how many you want...doesn't matter if it's 5 or 50...and add them all at once. You're still gonna end up with casualties but most will survive.
Most of us think of aggressive fish to be things such as Triggers, Groupers, Eels, etc...but you start adding damsels to a tank, with already established ones and it's like a gang war!

I was thinking about trying to add another damsel to my 120....you have me thinking twice now. How long have you had the new ones in?

Had 1 in for a while as a trial to see if my Tusk would eat him. He didn't so I added about 10-11 more. Of course several went MIA...and of course they were the high dollar one's.
Now I have 9 and just added 4 more. Two I can see had some fin tears and as of last night 2 were MIA, but they were big one's so I hope they can take the upfront attack and survive it.
These guys are like 2-3" of pure terror.

Agreed, I think all at once is the only way.

Honestly, I'd rather add a new addition to a tank with an established, adult Clown Trigger than add some more damsels to a tank with already established ones.
They're holy hell, on like fish and are relentless when battling.
It's no wonder alot of noobs cycle their tank with Damsels (I'll admit, I've done the same thing, when I first started out)...they're brutal.

I'd only consider adding damsels to a tank that had fish that would eat them. Although they sure are pretty, active little fish; but ounce for ounce, the meanest fish we keep. I think "how to get damsels out of a tank" is one of the most common threads on this forum.
