Spider crab....I second the motion that salifert tests are a good choice. They are top quality and available at a lot of different places. Our host carries them....but I've purchased mine locally as needed. Of the 2 sites mentioned I have experience with premium aquatics and I've never had a problem with them. Its where all of my lighting was purchased and also was the origional source for my seachem additives.
Just a polite side note: while it is allowed to post competators sites and info about them I would try to avoid going to say wal-mart and announcing that k-mart has a blue light special. Maybe things could be handled a little differently.Like maybe while in wal-mart saying "call me later and we'll talk about the blue-light special I saw."Just doesn't seem right to be so blantant about sources other than the host.*_^

Thanks for the advice everyone! Point well taken about mentioning competitors on our hosts site. I had actually posted a similar question the day before and it seems to have disappeared. The question was even more general than the one I asked here and I was wondering if it wasn't pulled by the moderator because it might help their competitors. (It also could have been a computer glitch, but i doubt it)I posted this one, which was a little more specific, and was very happy to see it wasn't pulled.
I think it says alot about a company when they provide information (or in this case allows free exchange of information) even if it might make people aware of their competitors. It says they aren't just in it to make money and that they really are interested in providing what is best for their customers. If the company offers a good product at fair prices, they have little to worry about in terms of their competition. This is kind of extra service is how the small LPS compete against the big chain stores.
At any rate, I think this is a great message board and SWF is quality company. I intend to order some livestock from them as soon as my tank fully cycles. I'll try not to be too blatant about my questions when it comes to competitors. Clearly SWF is doing a service here, but is also in business to for profit as well.
I am still interested in hearing about people's vendor experiences (both those you like and especially the ones you avoid). You can send to me at drober41@csc.com.
