Good or No good?????

I go to the beaches in NC and SC several times a year and while digging in the sand with my son have come across some small clams. I'm not sure what they are, but I was wondering if I could (or if it would be a good idea) put them in my tank. I have a 75 gal tank with 2-3" sand bed and working on better lighting. Has anyone put these in their tank?? Or know what kind of requirements they might have???

Their requirements are staying in the beaches off the coast of the Carolinas. Are they small, white-gray-tan, and kind of "oblong" shape rather then round? Kind of look like a jelly-bean or sideways egg?

I get some pic's next time I go. They are white in a regular clam fan shape. My kids may have some shells. I'll take a pic of those if they do.
