i have seen alot of posts about bad pet stores and i just wanted to start a good one bc i know there is good fish stores out there. there is one that i go to that is awsome the ppl there will not sell you a tang if you dont have the right size tank for one (they do this with all their fish :), and they ask alot of questions about ur set up and they will answer all the questions you have even when they are very busy. the guys that work there are just awsome and have helped me alot when i was having alot of trouble, things are better now, thank goodness.
they are the ones i buy all my fish from, i have came to realize its better to find one good store and stick with them, i tryed going everywhere and looking and buying and it just didnt work. the store is the only one in bloomington indiana that sells swf besides the large chain, that i and alot of others have had really bad luck with dont worry i wount mention them.
so all u fellow hoosier should try them out........

I go to one that used to have her store in the basement of her house and sells fish, corals and inverts. Now she has a store in stillwater and thats where i live. Its werid though she and her husband run the whole store by themselves.

There are two really good stores in southern West Virginia. In Nitro, we have Jo Marr's, which is a great store, very, very knowledgeable people who will go all out to help you, plus it is frequented by hobbyists who will also help out.
Second, in South Charleston (well, Davis Creek anyway) is Mr Fuji's; Fuji is a great guy and knows his stuff inside and out. Beautiful setups, great looking fish and corals, a bit pricey, but well worth it because it is so healthy.
Third, I'm opening a reef shop in the next six months to a year if I find investors

Well, GOOD LUCK!!! Yeah! I think it is awesome to follow a dream that you seem passionate about and care about what you do. All the best!

Thanks, I'm going to need it! Tracking down a few angel investors right now, but it may be a dead end

Well, never give up your dream!! Wish I had money...... Of course if I did, I'd be putting up a 600 gallon display tank like the guy in the reef forum! Ha!!

Don't take this the wrong way, but when I send my wife in the all Male run LFS, she gets all kinds of attention. When we both go in, well I need to track someone down to get answers. It must be in the Male jean...LOL I guess I would be the same way if a lady was a customer instead of a Man.

There is an awesome store here. Family owned. The guys won't let you take the fish home if they just recieved it or if it is not 100%. They will take your money up front though.

Ijust got married and what made me decide between 2 houses was the fact that one is 3 min away from store.

There are a few decent LFS in Seattle's eastside, but my favorite is in lake stevens, the reef mystique. They have the healthiest and biggest corals I have ever seen in a LFS as well as free ro water. Runner-up would be saltwater city in bellevue. they're a little pricier, but much closer to my home.

Here in Richmond Va, we have a great one in Fish World. Joe the owner is awesome as he more about taking care of you and your fish, coral, etc. then making $$$.
