Good return pump?? (submersible)

I have been out of the loop for about 3 years now and wondering what good pumps are on the market. Before I tore my last tank down, I was using Mag Drive pumps......are they still good?
I am looking for something in the 900-1000gph range at 6ft head

Mag and Quiet One (Lifegard) are still at the top of the heap.
