Gorgeous Adult Majestic Angel appetite weak

I just picked up two huge, absolutely beautiful adult Angels. One is a Blue Face, the other a Majestic. Both are getting along swimmingly (pun intended).

The Blue Face adjusted almost immediately. He swims around, is calm, picks at the live rock and sponges, and eats everything I put in the tank.
The Majestic is exactly the same...except he hasn't eaten anything I put in the tank. Can I expect him to start eating eventually? Like I said he's extremely healthy, calm, and picks just like the Blue Face, he just hasn't taken to the seaweed, mysis, nori, or Angel formula cubes yet.

Rt now he's eating off the lr so he is eating. It can take them time to get use to eating a captive diet

Your welcome, it took my clowns months before they would eat mysis. So just be patient

Months?!? Wow... Only reason I'm even slightly concerned is every fish I've gotten from this LFS ate the very first time I fed the tank.

I'll update this thread as the situation changes.

Lol, mysis yes. They would eat a certain pellet and brine rt away. I try to ask what the lfs I get them from feeds there fish. Most do brine bc its cheap another does brine and blood worms.

They feed a combination of my sis and chopped up seaweed. Neither fish was eating at the store ( I imagine they weren't happy in such small tanks) but they both looked so healthy and were calmly swimming I figured I'd take a chance.

Like I said the blue face adjusted right away and eats everything. The majestic just in the past two hours has finally come out of his shell and is picking at the sponge and live rick even more than before. I imagine hell be eating regularly in the next day or so.

BTW I got BOTH angels for $160 total. Both are over 6" and beautiful.

Oh yeah, this is what I wanted to ask. Is it a bad sign when a fish swims away from food? Like when you put mysis into the tank and the fish swims away and hides?

Its hiding bc it sees you. Rem these fish are still. Fairly wild

But the Blue Face is already coming up to me expecting to eat. And by hiding I mean, I can walk up to the tank and the Majestic won't react. But if I put food in the tank, even if he's unaware, as soon as he sees the food he goes into the back and hides. I've seen this in other fish as well. I was just wondering if it means he'll never eat or if it's part of his current "getting used to the tank" routine. Actually now that I think about it, the Blue Face did it too, if only for the first feeding. Thanks.

Fish are weird lol, my fox has been skittish lately and ive had him for 2 yrs.but when food hits the water he is rt there

Seriously! You never know from one fish to the next what they're behavior is gonna be like.

Nope, lol. I wana up grade and I may move him to the bigger tank. I dont think thats his issue, but he would love a 125

Well the majestic is picking at things floating in the water and actually ate a pellet laying at the bottom of the tank so its a matter of any moment now.

Update. Just dropped some new life spectrum pellets into the tank and he darted out of the back and is eatin' like a fool. This case is closed!

Ha ha ha , yup certain fish like certain foods. New life is an excellent pellet too

I've created a monster here. Now he won't stop eating. He took a humongous poop and proceeded to re-eat most of it. He's ravenous!

Hey, since you've been so helpful here's a video of the two new additions. As you can see they're making a bit of a mess with my aquascaping. I don't want to upset them so I won't be sticking my hands in there for a few more days to straighten things up. Sorry about the music!
