How do you catch a crab. This crab hides in the live rock and only comes out at night but not far enough out so I can scoop him up. I have two of these killers. One is munching on my pistol shrimp that has been in there for 10 hours and now I believe my fire shrimp and peppermint shrimps are in danger along with my two clowns. Thanks for any help with these terrorist.

If you know what rock he hides in, just take it out of the tank and get him out of it. You could set up a little trap(they sell them online and so forth) to catch him, but you might catch one of your tank buddies instead.

I thought about removing the rock and Iam going to use that has my final option. Would I just dunk the rock in a pail of 1.04 saltwater? Any other options? Thanks

get a drinking glass, place it on the sand and have it lean on the rock the crab is on. then put some squid, or silverside, etc. and wait over night. the crab will smell the bait, walk in and cant find a way out (t they cant climb up glass). then do what you want with them:yes:

Hey,
I did the same thing as royalshrimp mentioned only I used a plastic cup. I wedged it in the lr with some shrimp inside. The next morning I had caught the emerald crab from hell that was tearing up my mushrooms. (Looong story.) Works real well IMO.
