got crabs

just out of curiosity, i live in the Gulf coast of mexico and i see tons of hermit crabs on the beach. I know this sounds juvinile but can these critters be intergrated into a reef aqurium........ :notsure: :notsure: :notsure: :notsure:

I'm sure they can, I would put them in the QT tank though for a while cause you dont want them to introduce some bacteria or something into your main tank.

I wouldn't collect the ones that you see on the land. If you go just a little way out in the water you should be able to see hermits. You should check to make sure that it is legal for you to collect marine critters in your area. Like misfit said, be SURE to QT.

Not juvenile at all. Many aquarists collect their own aquarium inhabitants, instead of buying them from a LFS.
