Got My First Fish (need Help Asap)

I have a setup wher I can float my new fish in my sump while I am drip aclimating them I would drip them for at least 1-2 hours depending on the fish.

I ussually acclimate my fish about an hour or so. I place the bag in the tank with all the lights out then wait about 20 minutes add about a cup of water wait about 30 minutes add another cup and keep adding until the bag is full then let it sit for about 10 minutes and then release all of the water and fish into tank

Dont ever let their water enter your tank no matter who's tankt he fish came from.
Some have good luck and never have any problems and some that is just an opening for disease

i just do it because that is what three good lfs(in my mind) have told me to do. Im glad to see im still learning.

Yeah its not real good to let some one elses tank water into yours because their tank may be use to the disease or parasite and it may not cause any problem in their tank but as soon as it hits your tank water it could run wild that is why you quarentin everything to make sure its not sick or has some parasite
