I couldn't get it to come out but I will try again tomorrow. I tried with cyclopeeze and i dont think the cyclo stayed on the coral long enough to entice it to come out.
might have to take a bit of time to make sure it stays on, make sure the powerheads stay off etc to give it time...looks like a nice piece though! soon it'll come out just when your hand enters the water
They are typically night time feeders. You may find this to be true of yours. I have read that people have "trained" them to come out during the day by target feeding them a the same time each day. It is also a good idea to conrtruct a feeding dome for them from a pop bottle. Cut the bottom 1/3 off and place it over the coral. Then you can feed through the neck and the food stays captive in the area the are in. It also keeps pesky others (read any shrimp and or crab here) away from them so the food does not get taken out of their mouths.
It will take a few days up to a week for it to be comfortable enough to completely open up. Good luck with it. You look like you got a very healthy piece.
Heres a lil hint to feeding suncorals.
They can be trained to eat at anytime of the day or night. The cut off pop bottle works. I take mine out of my tank using a bowl of water from my tank and use a syringe to drop mysis shrimp onto each head. It usually takes about 30 mins to feed it. One other hint be sure to keep sand off of it. I set mine on a small flat rock. If sand gets into the head it can kill it.

Well, its been about a week now and I have fed the coral around the same time of day each time I fed it. I cant get it to open fully. It will only come our enough to get the food and that is it.
