Got My Foxface this Weekend.....

Thanks to Harndog for the Suggestions on fish. I went to LFS store on sunday and got a Foxface. So far so good but I don;t think he is eating yet. I put some seaweed on a clip inside tank something has been nibbling on it but not sure if it was the Foxface as everytime I go near tank he hides. I assume that is because he is so shy and new.
Scared me this am though as I was looking for hiim he was hiding under a rock all mottled brown and black with all his spines sticking up. I think he was like that because I turned the lights back on. I turn them on when I leave for work and turn them off when I get home after feeding them. I have to get a timer but not sure which is good since the one I tried to put on there did not work at all.
What do fish Usually run? example the foxface at the LFS store was 41.99 - 15% for being part of their "Pet Club" Then I had a 20.00 credit for the puffer I returned the week before. I also returned 5 of my damsels and only kept one yellow tail and one blue one (mostly because we could not catch those 2 even after dismantling the tank). anyway, On this website the Foxface is 24.99 + shipping (I assume). How do I know what going price is? In another tank they had a "Metallic Foxface" price tag 150.00. I was just curious as to what going prices are.
We also bought a coral banded shrimp that BF had to have. I didn't really want him but hey since he paid for fish. They had some Horseshoe crabs there that were a little smaller than the size of a dime. They were neat. We also picked up a tomato clown at the same time after much deliberation. I asked other patrons and the LFS if it would be ok and all said as long as we put them in at the same time with the foxface. They are doing well and the foxface is ignoring the other fish and they seem to be ignoring him.
will keep my eye on them.

Foxfaces change color when stressed... nothing to worry about.... they are cool fish.... wish i had room in my tank for one... o well....
The only thing im gonna caution you on is adding too many fish at one time.... it sounds like u added 2 fish (Foxface and Tomato clown) and your CBS at the same time.... you generally only want to add one fish every week or two, so you do not get a buildup of ammonia from the fish's waste.
With the CBS, be careful adding other shrimp into the tank, as there may be a fight to the death.... but there are exceptions to the rule... just ask around! I personally love CBS, but didnt want to take the risk with my cleaner.... hes been in the tank scense my cycle was half way threw.... yes, he was in there while the cycle went on, and is still alive!!! he's my lucky shrimp... neways....
Fish $$$ are everywere.... If its a healthy fish, and its the one you want, should money really matter??? But just shop around... look at different places on line... jsut remember online is gonna be cheaper... but you cant see teh livestock b4 u buy it, and from this site... u need to buy $70 worth of live stuff....
Good luck!!!

Thanks for Caution.
I had just done water change Day before and readings were good plus Got rid of 5 damsels. So ther eis really only 4 fish in tank now. I will do another test of water tomorrow to make sure readings are fine. I usually test once a week, If I test more than that I get really stressed. tank is 65 gallon and there will be no more new fish for probably a month unless I come into a windfall (need to catch up on christmas) As it is I am working christmas day and New years day so I can get the time and half. :)
Happy holidays

I would say your ok cause you got rid of 5 damsels and you returned a puffer the week before. You're just adding in the ones you've removed, but it depends on the size too. I would wait out a month before adding in anything else at this moment. You should look into getting a QT tank for new additions. Should QT them before placing into your tank. :happyfish
