Today i went out and bought a purple nudibranch.
I have had my orange and black one for about 1 month now, and he is thriving, so i thought i would be able to get just one

When you guys lost your nudis did you have problems with the supposed "tank poisoning?" or were they in species tanks? Also what are they eating? I've different species eat only certain types of sponge and corals. I love these things but I wanna know all the facts first.

Nudi`s EAT sponges.. ( except for blue velvet nudies).
I feed mine phytoplankton, ( kent pytoplex) every other day.
The needing to keep one is..
* feed phytoplankton
* keep water quality good for them to thrive
Then you are good to go!
BTW,
They will not give off toxins when they die, but it can cause a bit of ammonia. ( if one is missing= waterchanges).
Good luck!

Yeah I have a LN and I can't seem to get him to stay out of the overflow...so that is his home now. How can you safe guard your tank for them with a closed loop, or overflow?

Go to Home Depot and get a piece of plastic mesh and cut it to fit around your overflow like a net to keep things out while allowing water to pass through.
