Thanks rick. Steve irwin was unlucky and he did something he shouldn't have by pulling out the barb out of his heart.

Honestly dude it's not bad. They have thousands of people per day and they have maybe 1 incident a year if that.

The rays in that area are like little puppy dogs. They've had a couple of aggressive rays that were habitants of that sand bar, and they ended up taking their barbs out so they couldn't "hit" someone. They rarely venture off the sand bar because there's so many tourist feeding them on a daily basis, they have no reason to leave.

I did see they were doing something while snorkeling but my wife was too busy taking pictures and I couldn't leave her lol.
I have a damaged liver so I can't drink for a while. :/
