I was just thinking to myself...i have a 38 G reef right now, and in the next couple of weeks i plan on gettin a JBJ 12 Nano Deluxe... I have a royal gramma in my 38, and like ti a lot. I was just wondering why they cant be "nano fish". Has anyone tried keeping a Gramma in a nano? They are small, but most information i read suggests 20-30 Gallons. I was jw the reason, considering that mine seem small and non-territorial. thanks?

Ok, thanks guys. Does anyone have any stocking suggestions for a 12 deluxe? I am thinking of a few different fish...idealy i would like to have 2-3 small fish in my REEF...im thinkin maybe a false perc, gramma and yellow watchman; but i think the gramma might be pushin it...maybe another small goby?
Any suggestions?

reasearch the jawfish I know they require a deep sandbed to burrow in I found this on a website that is all about the care of marine fish
" Some loose, mixed substrate should be provided. Usually two to three inches should be present. Often, three quarters of the mix should be relatively fine material, and the last quarter would be made up of a coarser, larger material. Sand, gravel, and broken shell pieces may all be useful."

I have a yellow watchman goby and a pistol shrimp in my 44 gallon fish only and love watching them interact. If you're gonna have enough sand bed for a little burrowing that could be a way to go.
I've seen a lot of threads about people with the 12 gal jbj deluxe... let me know if the lighting works out ok for you with the regular tank because there appears to be a price difference if I'm reading things right.
When I win the lottery I'll work on getting one custom made from nanocustoms.com with all the big fancy lighting. :)
