Gravel Sweeping?

I have a 75 gal sw tank with 90lbs of lr. Would it be all right to sweep the gravel? I have read a lot of Steve Weast's posts about sweeping gravel. Just want a lot of opinions. Please help me if you can.

Not sure what you mean by sweeping the gravel. If it is cleaning CC with the syphon hose, then yes that is ok and needs to be done. Is that what you were asking?
