It's definitely a must for divers. Absolutely unreal.

Yeah, they've been showing all of the Planet Earth ones lately. I caught the deep ocean one but missed the shallow seas this time around.

Heh, I have no clue how, but thanks. I guess one of these days I need to get a DVR, my brother-in-law has been taunting me for almost a year now about it.

MiaHeatLvr, what was the name of the show? Someone said it wasn't the one with the crown of thorns and I'd like to try and find an encore showing. Thanks!

Awesome, thanks! I'll be checking this out.

There was an entire Discovery Channel special on the crown of thorns at the Reef called "Predators of the Great Barrier Reef" which was pretty interesting. I'm definitely excited to see more.

They did talk about the crown of thorns at the end. Interesting though, they concluded that the explosion of COTs has calmed down because of the reduction of run off nutients from farming to the ocean. One really cool thing was the fact that the reef actually tries to regulate the water temps by letting off oils? and other chemicals that cause weather changes via cloud production. That is hard to believe.

In case there's anyone on here right now that wants to watch this, it's playing on the Discovery Channel right now.

The shame if it is, in the opening there was a tagline "Broadcast in HD where available" ... I have Discovery HD Theater, and yet it's not being broadcast there at any time that I could find.... bummer...
